Job summary

Saronic Technologies is an industry leader in autonomous maritime systems. We seek an Industrial Engineer to optimize manufacturing and operations for autonomous surface vessels, using lean, Six Sigma, and data analytics to cut waste and improve throughput.

Collaborate with engineering, operations, and production teams to ensure cost-effective, safe, and sustainable production of high-quality autonomous platforms in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in industrial engineering, with a strong background in material flow, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and data analytics.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Minitab, or other statistical software.
• Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt, Black Belt) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify root causes and develop practical solutions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
• Familiarity with production environments, preferably in high-tech, defense, or maritime industries.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize material flow across manufacturing processes to ensure smooth, efficient production.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce waste, improve cycle times, and increase throughput.
• Conduct data analysis and generate actionable insights to guide process improvements and decision-making.
• Develop and refine production workflows, ensuring materials, components, and labor are utilized efficiently.
• Support the development and implementation of performance metrics, KPIs, and other tools to track and improve production efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, operations) to ensure manufacturability of new or changed products.
• Identify and address bottlenecks, quality issues, and other inefficiencies in the production process.
• Assist in capacity planning and resource allocation to meet production goals.
• Provide guidance and training on lean, Six Sigma, and data analytics techniques to team members.
