Job summary

Gore's Component Technologies team seeks an experienced Industrial Engineer to support three-shift, complex manufacturing and development of medical device materials. You will drive Lean manufacturing practices and Six Sigma initiatives, optimizing material flow and leading cross-functional projects at the Elkton, Maryland facility.

The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, capacity planning, and mentoring peers, with travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

BS in Engineering or related discipline with a minimum of 5 years in an Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering role.
Hands-on experience applying Lean principles and formal problem-solving in manufacturing.
Experience with simulation analysis and data-driven decision making.
Ability to manage multiple projects and lead cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Apply Industrial Engineering fundamentals and Lean/Six Sigma to improve processes.
Drive data-based decisions using analytics and scenario modeling.
Optimize material flow, standardize work, reduce lead times with Lean methods.
Lead cross-functional projects and own processes and outcomes.
Coach others in Lean methodology and apply QA/MES/CAD tools.
