Job summary
Medtronic plc in Dexter, Michigan seeks an Industrial Engineer to deploy the Medtronic Performance System across manufacturing operations, analyze workflows, and optimize layouts. You will extract SAP data and build Power BI dashboards to support data-driven decisions.
Implement Lean/TPS methods to move from batch to single-piece flow while meeting GMP and quality requirements. The role emphasizes problem-solving through DMAIC/Six Sigma, 8D, Kanban, JIT, FMEA, and SPC, with CAD-driven capacity
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering required.
- At least 1 year in industrial/manufacturing engineering for medical devices.
- Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification required.
- Experience with DMAIC, Six Sigma, Lean TPS, standardized work, and value stream mapping.
Responsibilities
- Deploy the Medtronic Performance System (MPS) across manufacturing ops.
- Analyze workflows, layouts, and sequencing to boost throughput and labor efficiency.
- Develop dashboards and reports from SAP using Power BI to drive decisions.
- Apply TPS/Lean principles including VSM and single-piece flow.
- Use CAD tools for capacity planning and line configuration.
