Job summary

CIRCOR is seeking a driven engineer to develop and optimize processes for machined parts and pump assemblies at its Kentucky facility. You will write SOPs, create standard work, and train teams to improve efficiency and reduce scrap and lead times.

The role emphasizes lean initiatives, design-for-manufacturability assessments, and participation in capital equipment projects. Strong CAD, 3D modeling, and CNC skills are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or manufacturing tech with lean training required.
  • 5-6 years experience in a Manufacturing environment preferred.
  • 5-6 years minimum experience leading lean manufacturing initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and prepare complete processes and routes for machined parts and pump assemblies.
  • Write detailed work instructions and SOPs.
  • Develop standard work, written and visual.
  • Train others on processes and procedures.
  • Evaluate processes via analysis and supplier input to meet scrap and lead-time goals.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects and kaizen events using lean tools.
  • Evaluate product designs for manufacturability.
  • Participate in evaluation and start-up of new capital equipment.
