Job summary

thyssenkrupp is seeking a Lean Focal/Champion to support continuous improvement across plants and offices. Under the guidance of the Lean Champion or Plant Manager, you will act as a trainer, liaison and partner to drive value and process excellence using Lean methods.

This role requires leading multiple improvement projects, developing team capabilities, facilitating problem-solving sessions, and tracking performance. Travel to sites and educational seminars is required.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership and training facilitation skills.
• Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of quality management systems applicable to the business.
• Excellent computer skills – PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio and Project.
• Basic knowledge of lean systems and tools.
• Six Sigma Greenbelt or other formal Lean certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple operational optimization projects to develop new processes.
• Develop team capabilities to utilize tools of basic problem-solving.
• Facilitate brainstorming, idea evaluation/assessment and implementation planning.
• Document and track all departmental projects.
• Support and provide input to Lean Programs and initiatives.
• Capture and review data, processes and performance trends for variances.
