ASML US seeks a Lean Expert to drive the Lean transformation at the Wilton Factory, embedding Lean philosophy and engaging people to improve processes for business impact. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years in manufacturing, engineering or supply chain with team leads.
  • 3+ years deploying and applying lean in manufacturing/logistics transformations.
  • 3+ years of basic project management skills.
  • Expert knowledge of lean transformation, process improvement and quality tools.

Responsibilities

  • Lead deployment planning and part of its delivery.
  • Manage process improvement projects and complex enhancements.
  • Challenge the change curve and define success criteria.
  • Coach and develop Lean leaders and teams.
  • Support Lean standards and drive business impact initiatives.

Job description

Introduction to the Job

As a Lean Expert you will help drive the Lean transformation within the Wilton Factory, with a focus on embedding Lean philosophy where people are engaged to improve processes continuously to boost business impact. You will support and guide teams and leaders with implementing the daily management system, coach them in developing problem solving techniques and Lean leaders behavior.

Together with line management you build internal capabilities to improve processes and results by cross functional teams on a daily basis. You act as a role model for the lean way of working and respectfully challenge the status quo.

Role and Responsibilities

In alignment with the accountable business manager, as a transformation lead you will:

  • Support designing the deployment plan and lead part of it's delivery
  • Lead process improvement projects, develop and implement more complex process enhancement
  • Challenge the change curve
  • Define success criteria and roles and responsibilities
  • Challenge progress regularly with your stakeholders
  • Coach and develop leaders
  • Be role model in adapting Lean principles and coach on Lean behavior
  • Support business impact initiatives (e.g. A3's, 4C's, Breakthrough Initiatives, etc.)

As a Lean team member, you will:

  • Share and inform the team about deployment progress, bottle-necks and help requests
  • Support your colleagues pro-actively in the deployment or building each other's expertise
  • Contribute to improvements to the ASML Lean standards
  • Challenge your colleagues adapting the Lean principles in our own team
  • Improve our daily operations and participates in strategic steps
  • Be a partner towards the business in driving for Lean improvements
Education and Experience

As a Continuous Improvement/Lean Engineer, you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in Manufacturing, Engineering or Supply Chain environment, preferably with line management experience (team lead/group lead)
  • 3+ years of experience training, coaching, deploying and applying lean in Manufacturing and/or a Logistics environment in a company wide transformation
  • 3+ years of experience in Basic project management skills
  • Expert knowledge of lean transformation, process improvement and quality management tools
  • Practical application of problem-solving methodologies (e.g. Lean A3, Six Sigma tools, etc.)
  • Experience in Hoshin Kanri (Strategy Deployment) and VSM (Value Stream Mapping) would be a plus
  • Proven experience in change management
