Job summary

MAS HVAC creates custom-engineered thermal management solutions for markets that thrive on flexibility and bold ideas. The Engineer Co-op will drive our factory digital transformation, building visual dashboards and automation to make production more transparent and efficient.

You will develop KPI boards (OEE, downtime, scrap), integrate shop-floor data, and collaborate with Kaizen teams across functions while learning Lean principles and modern data tools in a hands-on university-co-op

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, CS, Data Science, or related field.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, JavaScript, or SQL.
  • Familiarity with Power BI and Lean principles.

Responsibilities

  • Develop digital visual displays, KPI boards, and on-screen metrics to support Lean initiatives.
  • Create dashboards (Power BI or custom) for OEE, downtime, scrap, and other KPIs.
  • Automate SOPs, checklists, and Tier boards.
  • Assist Kaizen teams with digitally enhanced process maps, VSM visuals, and bottleneck visualizations.
  • Integrate machine data into actionable digital insights.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to gather requirements and deploy digital solutions.
  • Participate in Gemba walks to collect data for visuals.
  • Support CI projects and Kaizen events as needed.

They will support the plant’s digital transformation and Lean initiatives by developing visual factory tools, real-time digital dashboards, and automated process documents.
