Job summary

MAS HVAC is seeking an Engineer Co-op in Minnesota to support our factory's digital transformation and Lean initiatives. You will develop visual factory tools, real-time dashboards, and automated process documents to make production more transparent and efficient.

The role blends Lean principles with modern coding and data automation, offering hands-on experience with data from the shop floor, cross-functional collaboration, and opportunities to contribute to kaizen events.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop digital visual displays, KPI boards, and on-screen metrics to support Lean initiatives.
• Create dashboards (Power BI or custom-coded) for OEE, downtime, scrap, and other KPIs.
• Automate manual process documents such as SOPs, checklists, and Tier boards.
• Assist Kaizen teams with digitally enhanced process maps, VSM visuals, and bottleneck visualizations.
• Integrate machine/line performance data into actionable digital visual insights.
• Design and implement workflow automation scripts for recurring tasks.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to gather requirements and deploy digital solutions.
• Participate in Gemba walks to collect data and convert it into visual insights.
