Job summary

Refresco Beverages US Inc. in Michigan is seeking a CI Coordinator to support continuous improvement initiatives at the manufacturing plant. You will plan, coordinate, and track improvement and capital projects, collect and analyze data, and ensure alignment between CI, Engineering, Quality, and EHS.

The role emphasizes Lean process optimization, waste reduction, and hands-on implementation of Lean tools, while maintaining project visibility and reporting KPIs to plant leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, or related field preferred.
• 2–3 years in manufacturing CI, engineering, or production improvement.
• Experience in the food or beverage manufacturing industry preferred.
• Familiarity with project coordination or technical documentation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to health, GMPs, and PPE requirements.
• Assist CI Manager with coordination and execution of projects.
• Collect, analyze, and report data on efficiency, downtime, waste, and quality.
• Plan and document Kaizen events and process trials.
• Develop project trackers, timelines, and documentation.
• Lead problem-solving using DMAIC.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to align activities.
• Develop SOPs and Standard Work.
• Support Lean tools like 5S, Standard Work, Centerlining, and CIL.
• Participate in plant layout reviews and process mapping.
• Monitor KPIs and cost savings for leadership.
