Job summary

Van Meter seeks a Lean Construction Coordinator to support job sites by coordinating materials, deliveries, and agile practices, acting as a liaison between Van Meter sales, operations, and the Interstates field team.

This role emphasizes safety, continuous improvement, and cost reduction while promoting our culture and 5 P’s on the job site. Field deployment to projects nationwide may occur.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous customer service experience required.
• Previous distribution center experience.
• Ability to lift 70 lbs. on a consistent basis.
• Ability to operate lift truck equipment.
• Deployment to jobsites throughout the United States for extended periods of time.
• Minimum 2 year commitment required.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all company safety policies and initiatives.
• Complete returns for parts and tools from the jobsite.
• Maintain jobsite inventory.
• Complete parts and tools requests through ordering, receiving and shipping.
• Conduct product and tool cleaning, inspection, and storage at the jobsite.
• Work closely with Inside Sales and Purchasing.
• Provide customer service and support as main contact between Van Meter and Interstates.
• Set up and relocate fabrication stations/areas.
• Clean, stock and remove excess material from work areas.
• Deliver parts and tools to needed areas of jobsite.
• Receive and distribute deliveries as needed.
• Keep Connex and laydown yard clean and orderly.
• Clean, charge and/or fuel lifts and generators.
• General jobsite housekeeping
• Assemble lights and other assemblies before installation
• Take part in keeping office and break trailers clean and orderly
• Responsibly manage expense associated with travel and working in the field
• General help with crew members when needed
