Job summary

BorgWarner is seeking a Continuous Improvement Intern for the Arden, NC campus. You will support the Arden Plant Digitization Project, help develop standard work, time studies, and KPI analyses while interfacing with cross-functional teams.

The role targets students pursuing a Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, who bring problem-solving, organization, and strong communication skills and are comfortable with Excel and the Microsoft Suite.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering or similar technical field.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Comfort coordinating and leading meetings independently.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing concepts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support Arden Plant Digitization Project including Charter, Resources, RASIC, Timing, Budget, and Communications plans.
• Interface with cross-functional teams כגון Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, IT and Finance.
• Lead improvement, execution, and sustainability plans for time-study programs for standards.
• Assist in 5S+ activities, standard work, time studies, KPI analysis, and visual presentations.
• Run small projects: define objectives, plan, execute, and report status (PDCA).
• Adhere to Quality policies, plant requirements, and Environmental, Health, and Safety procedures.
• Perform other duties as requested.
