Legrand is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer in Dayton, OH to drive SQDC improvements through Lean and structured problem solving. You will lead cross-functional projects and partner with production, quality and engineering teams to reduce defects and waste.

The role emphasizes standard work, visual controls and daily management systems, with opportunities to support new product introductions and ECOs while coaching teams on lean methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, industrial or mechanical engineering with 3+ years in manufacturing
• Experience applying Lean, Six Sigma and structured problem-solving methodologies
• Ability to lead cross-functional projects and manage multiple priorities

Responsabilités

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives across SQDC performance in manufacturing
• Identify and execute process improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma and structured problem solving (A3, DMAIC, 8D, QRI)
• Analyze production data to identify root causes and drive corrective actions
• Collaborate with production, quality, maintenance and engineering teams to improve process capability
• Facilitate root cause investigations and ensure permanent corrective actions
• Develop and maintain standard work, process documentation and visual controls
• Support Kaizen events, Gemba walks and daily management routines
• Drive waste reduction, optimize process flow and material handling
• Support new product introductions and ECOs with process readiness and risk mitigation
• Coach teams on Lean principles and problem-solving methods
• Assist audits to ensure quality and regulatory compliance
• Lead cost reduction initiatives through waste elimination and efficiency improvements
• Participate in cross-site projects to standardize best practices
• Promote continuous improvement culture and employee engagement
