Job summary

G&W Electric Co. is seeking a Leak Tester to assemble required parts, set up vacuum/fill processes, and conduct leak testing on switchgear. The role involves maintaining test equipment, documenting actions, and ensuring a clean, safe work environment in a manufacturing setting.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, 0–1 year of manufacturing experience, and basic reading of drawings. English instructions must be understood for daily tasks and safety.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• 0–1 year experience in manufacturing is preferred.
• Able to read and interpret simple drawings and BOMs (preferred).
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Able to read instructions and understand verbal directions in English.

Responsibilities

• Affix external components to switch gear according to drawings.
• Perform vacuum and fill processes as specified.
• Test for leaks and set up reclaim process when needed.
• Maintain leak-test equipment and set up systems.
• Inspect work and document actions on production/quality forms.
• Communicate with colleagues at different levels of the organization.
