Job summary

Canlan Sports is seeking a positive, team-oriented Multi-sport League Convener to support league operations and provide exceptional customer experiences. You will be the direct link to teams from facility management, collecting fees, and assisting with schedules and communications.

Ideal candidates have strong knowledge of multi-sport rules, solid customer service, and experience with tournament draws, Excel/Word, and scheduling. Evening and weekend work is required as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of multi-Sport rules (essential).
• At least one year of experience in multi-sport field in an operations capacity.
• Demonstrated strong customer service skills.
• Good understanding of tournament draws.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel/Word).
• Willingness to work flexible hours (evenings & weekends).
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Outgoing and team oriented with great communication.

Responsibilities

• Collect league registration fees from teams/individuals per policies.
• Maintain knowledge of current multi-sport league rules.
• Manage online statistics tools and administrative processes.
• Prepare bi-weekly/monthly schedules for timekeepers.
• Communicate important info to League Manager via Convenor Report.
• Assist with suspension processes and enforcement.
• Know Canlan brand features and online tools.
• Develop proficiency with CRM (DASH).
• Assist with prize presentations.

Canlan Sports is currently looking for a Multi-Sport League Convener.

Rate of Pay: $18.25 - $20.00/ hour

Job Summary:

Canlan Sports is looking for a positive, team oriented Multi-sport League Convener, with great communications skills. As a Multi-sport League Convener, you will consistently provide exceptional customer experiences and support the Canlan League operations, in this role you are the direct link to the teams from the facility management.

Responsibilities:

• Collect League registration fees (for teams and individuals) in accordance with established payment policies and best-practices.
• Possess and develop a working knowledge of current multi-sport league rules
• Maintain a working knowledge of online statistics hardware and software, including customer features, administrative tools and processes.
• Utilize current booking protocols to prepare the bi-weekly or monthly schedules for timekeepers (draft schedules to be reviewed and approved by the League Manager and Facility Referee-in-Chief)
• Via the nightly Convenor Report, communicate important information to the League Manager
• Develop working knowledge of suspension guidelines and processes and assists the with the assessment, communication and enforcement of suspensions.
• Possess a good knowledge of Canlan brand features and competitive advantages, including online tools and services.
• Develop and maintain proficient computer skills in CRM (DASH)
• Assist with execution of prizing presentation.
• Ensure players complete waiver prior to participation.
• Liaise with team reps, referees, timekeepers and spectators as required.

Experience:

• Strong knowledge of multi-Sport rules (essential)
• At least one year of experience in multi-sport field in an operations capacity
• Demonstrated strong customer service skills (previous experience preferred)
• Good understanding of tournament draws.
• Outgoing, positive and team orientated with great communication skills.
• Willingness and ability to work flexible hours (evenings & weekends)
• Excellent organizational skills
• Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office software (particularly Excel and Word)

Education and Qualifications:

• Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Search may be required.
• Working towards formal education Sports/Leisure Administration field (preferred)
• Basic First Aid, CPR and AED certification (preferred)
