Job summary

Avis Budget Group is offering a Manager in Training program designed to develop tomorrow's leaders by providing hands-on experience in a rental location. You will learn customer relations, sales, vehicle operations, and business performance while leading a small team.

You'll gain exposure to branch systems, onboarding, coaching, and daily management tasks, with opportunities to advance into management as you prove effectiveness and leadership potential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in sales, retail, hospitality, operations, or a related customer-facing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with customers and coworkers.
• Demonstrated initiative, sound judgement, and problem-solving ability.
• Interest in developing into a leadership position.
• Comfortable working in a busy environment where priorities can change throughout the day.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving history.

Responsibilities

• Learn branch systems, procedures, and daily business activities.
• Work alongside the management team to meet sales and operational objectives.
• Assist customers throughout the rental process and help address questions or concerns.
• Coordinate vehicle availability, fleet movement, and inventory needs.
• Participate in employee onboarding, coaching, scheduling, and performance support.
• Help ensure vehicles, facilities, and the overall branch meet company standards.
• Take on increasing responsibility as you learn the business and demonstrate leadership ability.
• Work with different areas of the operation to develop the skills needed for future management opportunities.
