Job summary

Hertz Local Edition (HLE) is seeking a Manager Trainee to help drive location performance and develop leadership skills, with promotion to Branch Manager within 12–18 months. This fast-paced program offers hands-on exposure across sales, operations, fleet, and finance, laying the path to store leadership.

The role provides structured training, mentorship, and exposure to banking and financial metrics to support growth within Hertz.

Qualifications

• Must be 20 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong computer and multitasking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to grow.
• Exceptional time management skills.
• Flexible scheduling including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Presentable attire.
• Experience working in a professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Support achievement of location sales goals.
• Deliver excellent customer experience to contribute to high customer service scores.
• Learn and apply sales techniques and CRM best practices.
• Gain hands-on experience in fleet logistics and inventory control.
• Assist with store operations and compliance.
• Support team with miscellaneous task including but not limited to cleaning and preparing vehicles for customers, lot management, and customer service assistance.
• Learn finance processes and support deal completion.
• Understand reporting, documentation, and business metrics.
• Shadow and support management in daily operations.
• Build skills in team leadership, scheduling, and performance coaching.
• Prepare for future leadership roles through structured training.
• Learn how role contributes to/impacts the overall financial wellbeing of the company.
