Stanley Black & Decker’s Leadership Development Program seeks recent graduates for a rotational track across Retail, Commercial & Industrial End User, and Sales Support. You’ll learn operations, build product knowledge, and drive end-user engagement while presenting to key decision makers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Communications, Psychology, Business or related majors.
  • Recent graduate or early-career professional with less than 2 years of professional experience, including internship/co-op experience
  • Sales internship experience
  • Demonstrated leadership values and behaviors
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving, learning agility and accountability
  • Ability to analyze Power BI and Salesforce data to develop strategic growth plans

Job description

  • Participate in Stanley Black & Decker’s high-profile rotational Leadership Development Program
  • Complete 2–3 rotations across Retail, Commercial & Industrial End User, and Sales Support at locations across the United States
  • Work onsite within retail stores to learn operations, build product knowledge, drive end-user sales and engagement, present to key decision makers, identify sales and service opportunities, train store associates, and conduct job-site visits
  • Engage professional end users and learn end-user development across trade associations, safety personnel, engineers, quality managers, general managers, line supervisors, chief mechanics and purchasing
  • Execute purchasing processes across central and facility purchasing
  • Align activities with local market teams, product managers, local distributors and service centers
  • Provide operational and analytical support to Tools & Outdoor sales teams
  • Collaborate with product, brand, channel, operations and finance teams on strategic initiatives to maximize sales and profitability
  • Track price blocks, product quality issues, delayed shipments and merchandising fulfillment
  • Analyze promotions and track program effectiveness; recommend program improvements
  • Manage competitive retail comparisons
  • Execute, track and plan POP and merchandising improvements with Channel, Brand Marketing and Field
  • Approve and track promotional target funds
  • Plan and execute POP materials, advertising and monthly flyers
  • Develop training materials
  • Manage merchandising overdrive programs
  • Manage Salesforce, Showpad and Power BI sales technology and analytics
  • Manage demo tool and POS driver inventory
Requirements

  • Willingness to relocate anywhere within the US for 2–3 rotations
  • Willingness to travel and work occasional weekends, 8–10 annually
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record screening
  • Ability to pass drug and criminal background checks
  • Authorized to work for any employer in the US without employer sponsorship for an employment visa
  • Ability to handle, train on and demonstrate products, lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders and remain on feet for several hours daily
