Job summary

The University of Minnesota is seeking a Level Lead for LEAD 3961/3971 to teach, develop curriculum, supervise instructors, and manage field partnerships within the Leadership Minor. This 100% appointment role reports to the department and supports student development and curriculum advancement.

The role involves coordinating with Teaching Interns and Graduate Assistants, maintaining Canvas-based resources, and ensuring alignment with department standards.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree with 4+ years of experience, or BA/BS with at least 6 years post-degree experience.
• Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, or evaluation.
• Knowledge of Leadership Studies theory and practice.
• Knowledge of student development theory and practice.

Responsibilities

• Teach 2-3 Leadership Minor courses per year, including supervision of Teaching Interns and potentially community partnerships.
• Use Canvas LMS and course materials to create accessible, interactive learning experiences.
• Maintain timely communication with students and offer office hours.
• Provide accountability, coaching and assessment participation for students and staff.
• Collaborate with other level leads to ensure curriculum continuity and alignment with standards.
• Hire, train and supervise adjunct instructors teaching LEAD 3961/3971; support Graduate Assistants and Teaching Specialists.
• Develop partnerships with field sites and maintain partner communications.
