Job summary

Boston College is seeking an Assistant/Associate Director, Leadership Giving to identify, solicit, and steward gifts from alumni, parents, and friends. You will manage a portfolio of about 150 regional prospects and meet annual targets for meetings, solicitations, and commitments.

The role requires 1–3 years (Assistant) or 3–5 years (Associate) of frontline fundraising, travel, occasional evenings/weekends, and a proven track record closing gifts from 10k–25k (Assistant) or 25k+ (Associate).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 1–3 years frontline fundraising for Assistant Director and 3–5 years for Associate Director.
• Proven track record soliciting and closing annual cash gifts of $10,000–$25,000 (Assistant) or $25,000+ (Associate).
• Willingness to travel; evenings and weekends may be required; strong persuasive writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify, solicit, and steward gifts ranging from $10K to $249K from BC alumni, parents, and friends.
• Manage a portfolio of roughly 150 regional prospects and meet annual targets.
• Conduct 140–150 meetings per year and collaborate with gift planning, athletics, and other units to maximize giving.
• Develop and implement a strategy to grow annual cash giving and oversee one development assistant.
