DescriptionWeyerhaeuser Company is seeking upcoming or recent college graduates for a full-time entry level Leadership Development Professional (LDP) opportunity starting January 2027 to join our Arcadia Oriented Strand Board Mill (OSB) located in Simsboro, Louisiana.Our Arcadia OSB is located in the Sportsman's Paradise of Lincoln Parish in north central Louisiana. It is situated near Ruston and Grambling, Louisiana, home to Louisiana Tech and Grambling State Universities. The mill is located 20 minutes west of Ruston, 45 minutes west of Monroe, 55 minutes east of Shreveport, and an hour south of the Louisiana/Arkansas state line.In this role, you will work under close guidance with assigned mentors. You will be accountable for growing and strengthening your leadership skills, general business understanding of manufacturing processes, operations of a Wood Products mill, and other major function areas. This role includes a detailed 12-month development plan with hands-on learning, operational rotations, and successful completion of site project(s).Key Activities:Working safely in a manufacturing environmentSystematically identify and implement improvement initiativesPerform mill-wide studies/trialsProvides support in the development of standard operating proceduresTroubleshoot and resolve quality and production issuesTrain employees on a structured approach to problem solvingMaintain calibration of process equipment to assure standards are metQualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree in a Science or Engineering field or similar requiredDrive: We are looking for someone who is eager to learn about and master wood products production processes regardless of years of experience.Technical Skills: You have a working knowledge of quality control, statistics, and optimization conceptsCore Skills:Ability to deliver workable, value-added solutions to solve real manufacturing problemsYou’re able to communicate issues and results to both technical and non-technical audiencesYou are a collaborative team playerYou have a high level of initiative and the ability to excel with minimum supervisionYou can easily adjust to multiple demands, shifting work priorities, ambiguity, adversity and changeTravel: You are able and willing to travel within the US.Preferred: Knowledge of LEAN, Six Sigma, Root Cause AnalysisWhat We Offer:Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $58,800-$88,200 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 5% of base pay. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use.
