Job summary

Shurtape Technologies, LLC in North Carolina is offering an early-to-mid career engineering leadership growth opportunity. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will focus on strategic areas and continuous improvements within our NC plants.

You will gain exposure to product systems, work with a mentor, and contribute to safety, quality and efficiency improvements while developing professional leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in Project or Process Engineering positions.
• College graduate with a BS in Engineering, Electrical or Mechanical preferred.
• Proven leadership skills from collegiate activities or internships.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; good presentation skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Gains understanding of products, systems and people within the department.
• Works under the Director of Engineering and partners with a host department head.
• Supports the assigned department with project work, data analysis and admin duties as needed.
• Helps other departments with safety, quality and output improvements.

While reporting to the Director of Engineering, the candidate will be assigned to focus on areas of strategic importance and extended continuous improvements within our North Carolina plants.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Gains an understanding of the products, systems and people within the assigned department.Works under the direction of the Director of Engineering while partnering with a host department head, and supported by a mentor.Supports assigned department as necessary. Responsibilities can vary from project work to data analysis to administrative functions. Responsibilities should facilitate the understanding of the basic operations and functions.Assists other departments in production with respect to safety, quality and output.Learn about and participate in the company culture through attending meetings, training and development sessions and getting involved.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
