Job summary

CooperVision is seeking a Supervisor to lead the night shift (10:00pm–6:30am) onsite in Juana Diaz, PR. The role focuses on managing operations, coordinating with team leaders on production schedules, and supervising insert and machine shop technicians to maintain quality and efficiency.

The Leader- Tooling role requires a strong engineering mindset, problem-solving skills, and a drive to implement improvements that boost performance and reduce costs, while ensuring compliance with procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience leading manufacturing teams or shifts (Night shift leadership preferred).
• Strong problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations and production scheduling with team leaders.
• Supervise insert and machine shop technicians to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Ensure manufacturing, metrology, and quality processes meet CooperVision procedures and performance targets.

Scope:

Responsible for operations, working with team leaders on manufacturing production schedules and supervising insert and machine shop technicians, ensuring quality, manufacturing, and metrology processes meet CooperVision procedures and performance expectations. Ensure expected operational performance is achieved.

Description:

The Leader- Tooling will play a crucial role in area performance KPI, people management (including development), and implementing solutions that optimize manufacturing processes. This position requires a deep understanding of engineering principles, a knack for problem solving, and passion for innovation. Challenge and work with current and new develop processes, focused on supporting business performance and cost reduction efforts. Perform, implement, and monitor assigned projects/ideas to achieve set KPI and comply with expected goals. Support the area by bringing and implementing performance, quality, and cost-effective improvement ideas.
