Job summary

CooperVision in Juana Díaz, Puerto Rico seeks a Lean Team Leader–Operational Excellence to drive Lean and Continuous Improvement programs plant-wide. You will deploy, sustain, and audit Lean initiatives, lead Kaizen events, and support value stream mapping to improve productivity and reduce waste.

Responsibilities include coordinating 5S audits, training non-exempt personnel, and collaborating on process improvements and layout optimization to ensure operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in a position related to Continuous Improvement with proven application of Lean and Continuous Improvement Tools.
• Facilitation/teaching experience on Lean and Continuous Improvement methodologies and Tools.
• More than 8 years as a CooperVision employee.

Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing compliance with 5S program requirements through support of 5S Coordinators and layered audits.
• Generate RFQs and PRs for Operational Excellence-related projects.
• Coordinate and deliver the annual Operational Excellence Campaign.
• Lead Kaizen events and continuous improvement activities to implement productivity and efficiency enhancements.
• Provide Lean fundamentals and CI training to non-exempt personnel.
• Develop and maintain Value Stream Maps for product families and monitor progress of actions.
