Meet the Team

You will join Cisco Legal’s Regulatory Affairs Trade Legal & Compliance (TLC) team. The Regulatory Affairs team is comprised of lawyers, operational specialists, program managers, engineers, and subject matter experts focused on topics including data and privacy, global trade, cybersecurity, telecommunications, and various regulatory practice areas. You will partner with your colleagues in Legal and numerous other functions across the company to have an immediate impact with your analytic rigor, business judgment, and ability to get things done.

Your Impact

You will join the Cisco TLC Team as a strategic people leader with a focus on operations. This team is responsible for global trade regulations and compliance worldwide. We are looking for a strong people leader with proven experience in scaling trade compliance operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Leading with vision and strategy, building a positive and performance-driven culture through partnerships, training, talent development, and driving durable growth and continuity.
2. Developing and maintaining relationships with various internal functional groups to understand and support business operations, and to drive customer outcomes.
3. Staying informed and partnering with corporate functions on developments concerning trade laws, regulations, and advising on advanced trade compliance matters.
4. Establishing and maintaining relationships with global cross-functional internal and external logistics partners (e.g., brokers, freight forwarders, third-party vendors) to analyze trade-related data, identify trends, and improve trade compliance and supply chain efficiencies.
5. Designing and conducting periodic risk assessments and audits related to trade operations, analyzing root causes of deficiencies, and implementing corrective actions and improvements.
6. Innovating by identifying and implementing IT automated solutions and AI-powered tools to improve productivity, streamline compliance processes, and enhance efficiencies.

Minimum Qualifications

• BA/BS or equivalent and 10+ years of experience delivering dynamic trade compliance solutions.
• Proven leadership skills with a track record of motivating, empowering, supporting, and engaging professionals to achieve business results, develop skills and careers, and enjoy their work.
• Confirmed experience in developing processes related to global trade compliance programs.
• Solid knowledge of export controls and trade sanctions regulations, and compliance and enforcement expectations for trade compliance programs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to balance quality of work with deadlines in a fast-paced, results-oriented culture.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing ideas, responsibilities, expectations, trends, and strategies concerning global trade compliance rules and regulations.
