This is a remote position.

Meet the Team

You will join Cisco Legal's Regulatory Affairs Trade Legal & Compliance (TLC) team. The team includes lawyers, operational specialists, program managers, engineers, and subject matter experts focused on data and privacy, global trade, cybersecurity, telecommunications, and other regulatory areas. You will collaborate with colleagues across Legal and various functions to make an immediate impact through your analytical skills, business judgment, and execution ability.

Your Impact

As a strategic people leader focusing on operations, you will be responsible for global trade regulations and trade compliance operations. We seek a leader with proven experience in scaling trade compliance functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead with vision and strategy, fostering a positive, performance-driven culture through partnerships, training, talent development, and growth initiatives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal teams to support business operations and enhance customer outcomes.
  • Stay informed on trade laws and regulations, advising on compliance matters in partnership with corporate functions.
  • Establish relationships with global logistics partners, including brokers and freight forwarders, to analyze trade data and identify efficiency opportunities.
  • Conduct risk assessments and audits of trade operations, analyze root causes of deficiencies, and implement corrective actions.
  • Innovate by implementing IT automation, AI, and advanced tools to improve productivity and automate compliance processes.
Minimum Qualifications
  • BA/BS or equivalent with 10+ years of experience in trade compliance solutions.
  • Proven leadership skills with a track record of motivating and supporting professionals to achieve business results and develop their careers.
  • Experience developing processes for global trade compliance programs.
  • Solid knowledge of export controls, trade sanctions, and enforcement expectations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to balance quality work with deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing trade regulations and business strategies.
