Job summary

South Carolina Army National Guard seeks a Lead Coordinator for its Child and Youth Program to serve as primary advisor to the J9-Program Manager and State Family Program Director.

You will develop statewide youth curriculum, plan annual events, recruit and manage volunteers, and coordinate with partners such as 4-H and Boys & Girls Clubs. Travel for camps, trainings, and deployments may be required.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of professional experience in youth programming and military family program experience.
  • Understanding of military lifestyles and families.
  • Must be able to obtain CNACI background check and FBI/State repository checks.
  • Must have a state driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Strong interpersonal and English communication skills (oral/written).
  • Willingness to participate in indoor/outdoor youth programs and field trips.

Responsibilities

  • Lead coordinator for SC Army National Guard Child and Youth Program statewide.
  • Advise the J9-Program Manager and State Family Program Director.
  • Develop statewide youth curriculum and annual events (camps, symposiums, retreats).
  • Recruit, train, and manage a state-level adult volunteer team for youth events.
  • Coordinate with YRRP for youth support during deployments.
