Job summary

GlobalFoundries in Malta, NY is seeking a Yield Engineer to drive yield improvement and product performance on advanced technology nodes. You will investigate root causes and use data analysis to implement robust improvements in a high-volume fab.

You will engage with customers on weekly calls, coordinate with Test, Integration and Process Modules, and work to meet external requirements while advancing cost efficiency and manufacturing reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in circuit design or electrical engineering or a related field.
• 4 years of relatable experience in yield engineering or semiconductor design/analysis.
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving abilities with clear communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive yield and product performance for technology nodes 45nm and below during transfers and high-volume production.
• Investigate root causes of yield and functionality issues using data analysis and test information.
• Apply experiments design, execution, and analysis to identify improvement opportunities.
• Engage with customers on weekly calls to provide yield updates and forecasts.
• Collaborate with Test, Integration and Process Modules to implement improvements cost-effectively.
• Support process modules to improve cost, cycle time, and manufacturing robustness.
