Job summary

Ford Motor Company in Michigan (Dearborn) is seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to drive the development, deployment, and enhancement of our Yield Management Advanced Analytics Foundational Capability products. You will own the lifecycle of sophisticated machine learning frameworks and translate data into clear business decisions.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, deliver production-ready models, and communicate insights to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a data science role focusing on product development, optimization, or business analytics.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL with modular, scalable code.
• Experience applying ML frameworks to economic or business problems (demand forecasting, pricing, consumer behavior).
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure).

Responsibilities

• Lead continuous improvement of complex predictive models with state‑of‑the‑art accuracy.
• Transition analytical frameworks into production‑ready assets, focusing on deployment automation and operational stability.
• Manage end‑to‑end model lifecycle with updates and rapid ad‑hoc analyses for strategic decisions.
• Assess existing toolsets to identify opportunities for enhancements and innovations.
• Translate intricate quantitative concepts into clear, actionable insights for both technical peers and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to align data science capabilities with evolving business needs and maximize impact.
• Present findings and progress to senior leadership and other key stakeholders.
