Job summary

Woodbine Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Alexandria, VA is seeking a Lead Wound Care Nurse for a full-time role. The shift is 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with hourly pay of $30-$38 for LPNs and $38-$44 for RNs, plus a no-frills option adding $3/hour.

You will provide skilled wound assessment, treatment, and care planning, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, document outcomes, and ensure HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered active LPN or RN license in Virginia.
• Wound Care Certification required.
• Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.
• Minimum 2 years' wound care experience in long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident wound care per physician orders and care plans.
• Assess, treat, and monitor wounds with sound clinical judgment.
• Document wound assessments, treatments, and outcomes accurately.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for healing and continuity of care.
• Maintain resident confidentiality per HIPAA and policies.
• Guide nursing and care team with clinical direction.

Hiring: Lead Wound Care Nurse!

SHIFT: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM

$30-$38 an hour for LPN's (all-inclusive)

$38-$44 an hour for RN's (all-inclusive)

No Frills Program for Full-Time Employees: If you opt for no benefits (no vacation, sick time, personal days, or holidays), you’ll earn an additional $3/hour on top of your base pay.

Responsibilities for Wound Care Nurse:

• Provide resident care in accordance with acceptable nursing standards, physician orders, and established care plans.

• Demonstrate sound clinical judgment in assessing, treating, and monitoring wounds.

• Provide wound care treatments based on resident needs and best clinical practices.

• Deliver respectful, compassionate, and person-centered care to residents, families, and caregivers.

• Provide clinical guidance and direction to members of the nursing and care team.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of wound assessments, treatments, and outcomes.

• Ensure resident confidentiality is maintained at all times in accordance with HIPAA and facility policies.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support healing, prevention strategies, and continuity of care.

Qualifications for Wound Care Nurse:

• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active LPN or RN license in the state of Virginia.

• Wound Care Certification required.

• Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.

• Minimum of 2 years of prior experience as a Wound Care Nurse in a nursing home or long-term care setting required.

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
