Job summary

Woodbine Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a Lead Wound Care Nurse to provide expert wound care, clinical leadership, and oversight within a 307-bed sub-acute and long-term care facility. The role requires a current Virginia LPN/RN license, BLS CPR, and a strong track record in wound management.

The position offers a full-time schedule with a 6:00 AM–2:00 PM shift and an hourly range of $33–$36, with a no-frills option yielding a $3/hour increase if benefits are declined.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active Virginia LPN or RN license.
• Wound Care Certification strongly preferred but not required.
• Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.
• Minimum of 2 years of prior Wound Care Nurse experience in long-term care.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident care per nursing standards, physician orders, and care plans.
• Demonstrate sound clinical judgment in wound assessment, treatment, and monitoring.
• Deliver wound care treatments per resident needs and best practices.
• Provide compassionate, person-centered care to residents, families, and caregivers.
• Provide clinical guidance to nursing and care team.
• Maintain accurate documentation of wound assessments, treatments, and outcomes.
• Ensure HIPAA-compliant confidentiality.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support healing and continuity of care.
