Job summary

Amazon Inc. is hiring a Workplace Health & Safety Specialist (WHSS) to lead safety programs, investigations, and risk assessments and to champion a proactive safety culture across its sites in Doraville, GA.

You will train associates, influence leadership, and translate safety data into actionable improvements while supporting emergency response and adherence to OSHA standards. The role requires strong communication, confidentiality, and experience with MS Word/Excel, with flexibility to work

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in an Environmental Health & Safety field or 6 months in Amazon safety-related role
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations specifically 29 CFR 1910
• Experience maintaining confidentiality in workplace security/personnel matters
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel for professional use

Responsibilities

• Lead safety programs with data-driven strategies, including audits, investigations, and risk assessments
• Deliver safety training that promotes proactive safety culture
• Advocate for associate wellbeing and build partnerships across levels of the organization
• Translate safety data into narratives to influence safety initiatives
• Assist with emergency response and maintain safe operations at sites
