Job summary

BCG Attorney Search seeks a Workers' Compensation Attorney in Oakland, CA to manage a full caseload and supervise a team of case managers.

You will handle hearings, negotiate settlements, draft pleadings, and ensure WCAB compliance while mentoring staff. California bar is required and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Active California Bar license required.
• Minimum 1 year of workers' compensation experience in CA.
• Strong knowledge of WCAB procedures and California labor code.
• Experience supervising or mentoring staff is a plus.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage a full caseload of workers' compensation matters from inception through resolution.
• Negotiate and settle active cases.
• Appear at hearings, conferences, depositions, and trials as required.
• Supervise and provide direction to a team of case managers.
• Review case manager work for accuracy and timeliness.
• Communicate with clients, adjusters, opposing counsel, and medical providers.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and settlement documents.
• Evaluate cases and lead settlement negotiations.
