Ideal candidates hold a Juris Doctor and an active California Bar license, with at least 1 year of workers' compensation experience and strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills. Spanish is a plus and WCAB procedures knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• Active California Bar license.
• Minimum 1 year of workers' compensation experience.
• Strong knowledge of WCAB procedures and California labor code.
• Experience supervising or mentoring staff is a plus.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload while overseeing support staff.
• Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage a full caseload of workers' compensation matters from inception through resolution.
• Negotiate and settle active cases.
• Appear at hearings, conferences, depositions, and trials as required.
• Supervise and provide direction to a team of case managers.
• Review case manager work for accuracy and timeliness.
• Communicate with clients, adjusters, opposing counsel, and medical providers.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and settlement documents.
• Evaluate cases and lead settlement negotiations.
• Ensure compliance with WCAB procedures and internal workflows.
