Job summary

HUDSON CITY CONSULTING LIMITED LIAB is seeking a wire assembler to join our team in New Jersey. You will handle electrical and mechanical assembly and final integration of products, working with engineers to translate blueprints into wiring layouts.

The role requires 5+ years in switchboard wiring, knowledge of electrical codes, and experience reading schematics. You will mentor junior staff and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in switchboard wiring or related electrical assembly.
• Knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards and best practices.
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience mentoring junior team members; PLC/automation exposure.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and execute wiring and assembly of electrical switchboards, ensuring compliance with industry standards and specifications.
• Collaborate with engineering to interpret blueprints and translate into wiring layouts.
• Conduct quality inspections and troubleshoot wiring issues for optimal functionality.
• Lead training sessions for junior wirers on safety, efficiency and craftsmanship.
• Implement process improvements to boost production efficiency and reduce lead times.
• Maintain documentation of wiring schematics and assembly processes for QA.
