Job summary
OnSite Partners LLC in Findlay, OH is seeking a Technician II to perform and lead complex troubleshooting, maintenance, component replacement, and commissioning on utility-scale wind turbines and associated collection systems.
This role serves as the senior technical resource on site and may provide direction to junior technicians during both scheduled preventive maintenance and unscheduled corrective repairs.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of wind turbine maintenance experience.
- Advanced troubleshooting ability across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and control systems.
- Experience with medium-voltage systems.
- Ability to climb turbines (300+ feet) and work at heights.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background/drug screening.
Responsibilities
- Lead scheduled preventive maintenance on wind turbines.
- Lead troubleshooting of complex turbine faults and recurring system failures.
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and control system issues.
- Analyze fault codes, SCADA data, and performance trends.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Support remote operations and engineering teams with technical expertise.
- Lead major corrective repairs and component replacements.
- Ensure proper torquing, alignment, and commissioning procedures.
- Assist turbine commissioning and re-commissioning activities.
