Job summary

Clearway Energy Group is seeking a Lead Technician for the Ocotillo wind site to oversee maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems and to ensure safe, reliable turbine operations.

You will lead crews, perform complex troubleshooting, and mentor junior technicians while maintaining documentation and adhering to Clearway standards. This role requires climbing towers, travel, and a strong commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in electrical or technical preferred.
• 5+ years wind turbine experience required or demonstrated equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Monitor safe work practices for wind plants and personnel.
• Inspect repairs and scheduled maintenance for QA.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems on Clearway equipment.
• Perform maintenance, repair, and replacement of components following procedures.
• Lead crews and mentor lower-level technicians as directed.
