Job summary

GE Vernova in the United States seeks a Senior Fleet Systems Engineer to lead wind turbine system integration and optimization through requirements, design, validation and lifecycle support, partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions.

This role champions New Product Introduction programs, owns turbine-level requirements, drives risk management including DFMEA, coordinates with subsystems, and communicates technical results to internal and external audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• 5+ years of significant experience in Engineering/Technology.
• 3+ years of demonstrated experience working on wind turbine system-related projects.
• Ability to break-down complex issues and enable effective decision making.
• System- or product-level mindset with system-level trade-off experience.
• Field issues, test and/or validation experience.
• Requirements definition, decomposition, and/or translation experience.
• Effective communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide wind turbine system expertise through all phases of product development, including requirements definition, design and development, validation, and product life-cycle support.
• Lead technical program teams on all system trade-offs and optimizations with a focus on the reduction of landed cost of electricity.
• Own turbine-level requirements in the form of Systems Design Memos; contribute and approve subsystem requirements in Design Memos.
• Own and drive risk management for technical program team including ownership of the Systems DFMEA.
• Contribute to multi-generation system and technology plans in coordination with all subsystems, including design platforming strategies.
• Contribute to and approve customer facing technical documents.
• Communicate and provide recommendations through analysis, preparation and presentation of technical material to internal and external audiences.
• Drive simplification and standardization of best practices into engineering analysis, validation, and design execution.
• Contribute to new and existing design practices.
