Job summary

Environmental Resources Management (ERM) seeks a Managing Consultant, Wetland Delineator/Botanist to lead field teams across Northern California. You will perform wetland delineations, rare plant surveys, and habitat assessments, producing defensible reports and contributing to regulatory compliance.

You will mentor junior staff, support proposals and cost estimates, and represent ERM with clients and agencies on complex regulatory matters, travel often, and work in challenging outdoor

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in natural science or equivalent field experience.
• Minimum four field seasons conducting wetland delineations.
• Familiarity with Army Corps Regional Supplements for Western Mountains, Valleys & Coast, and Arid West.
• Expertise with sub-meter GPS, ESRI Field Maps, and map interpretation (NWI, USGS).

Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee aquatic resource delineations using ESRI Field Maps and sub-meter GPS collection.
• Conduct and supervise rare plant surveys, vegetation mapping, and habitat assessments.
• Delineate wetlands per the 1987 Corps Manual and relevant Regional Supplements.
• Lead QA/QC for fieldwork and reporting and coordinate with clients/regulators.
