Job summary

A premier metal building manufacturer is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to enforce compliance with welding codes and standards. The CWI's key responsibilities include inspecting welded components, qualifying welders, and supporting production teams to maintain quality assurance. Ideal candidates will have strong knowledge of AWS welding codes and the ability to document inspection findings clearly. This is a full-time position located in Tallapoosa, Georgia, offering competitive pay and benefits, including health insurance and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Experience inspecting structural steel fabrication in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of AWS D1.1, D1.3 and other applicable welding codes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Qualify welders and machine operators to various welding processes.
• Perform visual inspection of welded structural steel components.
• Document inspection results accurately and maintain quality records.
