Job summary

Thompson Pipe Group is seeking a Lead Person with welding knowledge to guide pipe finishing, outlets, specials, and loading in our Grand Prairie plant. The role requires coordinating material deliveries, enforcing safety and quality, and ensuring production objectives are met on the floor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 2 years of leading experience in manufacturing or production support.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate critical areas of pipe finishing, outlets/specials and loading.
• Coordinate and assure proper material deliveries.
• Ensure safety, quality, and production objectives are met by being a presence on the floor with practical relevant experience to reinforce best practices.
• Develop action plans to meet deadlines and responsibilities.
• Monitor personnel for adherence to company policies and productivity.
• Read blueprints and specifications and be technically proficient.
• Produce a quality product that meets customer expectations while ensuring drawings and specs are followed.
• Communications and Training responsibilities as required by company procedures.
• Maintain order and contribute to a safe working environment.
• Strive for zero defects and incidents.
• Evaluate personnel.
