Job summary

Thompson Pipe - USA is seeking a Manufacturing Production Planner in Grand Prairie, TX. You will create and maintain detailed schedules in ERP, plan production to meet customer demands, and align with project managers to sustain baseline schedules.

You’ll coordinate with supervisors and purchasing, monitor progress, and report risks and changes to stakeholders, ensuring optimal throughput and minimal downtime in a heavy manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years in production scheduling or manufacturing planning.
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Background in pipe manufacturing or water/wastewater infrastructure products is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Project or Primavera (P6) including resource loading.
• Strong scheduling principles; ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Create, update, and maintain detailed manufacturing schedules within ERP and scheduling tools.
• Plan and establish production schedules that meet customer demand commitments.
• Partner with Project Managers to develop and sustain baseline project schedules.
• Coordinate with production supervisors to monitor progress, resolve constraints, and ensure alignment across shifts.
• Communicate schedule changes, impacts, and risks clearly to the Director and stakeholders.
