Job summary

Helion in Everett, WA seeks a Welder to build and repair custom components for generator production. You will fabricate parts, work with plasma cutters and MIG/TIG welders, and ensure safety and quality in a fast-paced shop environment.

You will report to Production Supervisors, coordinate with Design Engineering for manufacturability, and help maintain production efficiency through precise welding and assembly.

Qualifications

• Experience welding and fabricating custom components.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specs.
• Familiarity with safety practices in welding and fabrication.
• Experience operating plasma cutters and MIG/TIG welders.
• Ability to measure materials and perform basic calculations.

Responsibilities

• Lead welding and fabrication projects to manufacture custom assemblies for Helion generator production.
• Collaborate with engineers and Production Supervisors to support decision making.
• Provide DFM feedback with Design Engineering for rapid fabrication of parts.
• Weld and fabricate using plasma cutters, MIG/TIG arc welders, and oxyacetylene torches.
• Interpret drawings and fabricate/repair components to spec.
• Operate saws, grinders, drill presses, and related tools.
• Move materials using forklifts and cranes to support production.
• Follow instructions to fabricate or repair requested equipment.
• Communicate fabrication requirements with shop personnel.
• Maintain safe work conditions with proper PPE.
