Job summary

System One is seeking a Lead Web Content Administrator for a 12-month contract-to-hire in the Reston, VA area. You will be the operational owner of a customer-facing web portal and work as an individual contributor on a Scrum team (~12 people).

Responsibilities include CMS administration, content governance, site search ownership, navigation and information architecture, analytics setup (GA 360 preferred), and ensuring a user-friendly, well-governed site aligned with business goals.

Qualifications

• Experience administering a CMS with content governance.
• Site search expertise is the top priority.
• Experience with taxonomy, navigation, and information architecture.
• Strong web analytics experience and ability to set up analytics tools.
• User experience optimization mindset.
• Excellent organization skills and ownership of day-to-day site operations.
• Ability to coordinate across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Administer and manage a CMS with strong content governance.
• Own and improve site search behavior and findability.
• Manage navigation, taxonomy, and information architecture.
• Monitor and set up web analytics (Google Analytics 360 preferred).
• Keep the site user-friendly, consistent, and aligned with business objectives.
• Support efficient content delivery while maintaining quality and governance.
• Maintain the website through updates, upkeep, and continuous improvement.
• Archive outdated content and propose improvements based on data.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to keep the platform running smoothly.
