Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have a Class E driver's license.
• Experience: One (1) year in construction, maintenance or general repair work; plus one (1) year in water/wastewater systems maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled maintenance repair and installation of valves, meters, gauges, pumps and associated utility machinery, equipment and lines.
• Perform major and minor repairs to water and wastewater sewer lines; lay, cut, caulk pipe; tap mains and service lines.
• Operate machines and equipment necessary to perform maintenance of water and sewer lines; use hand tools, pumps, torches and drills.
• Make inspections, read meters and keep basic records necessary to the utility system.
• May instruct, lead and supervise lower level workers.
• Respond to emergency call-outs after hours.
