Job summary

Pasco County Schools is seeking a Maintenance Technician - Water/Sewer for the Maintenance and Facilities team in Land O' Lakes, FL. Under general supervision, you will perform diversified craft trade activities with a primary focus on water and sewer systems.

Preferred candidates bring experience in water and sewer utilities maintenance, pipefitting, backflow devices, and pump control circuitry. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma and two years of skilled trade or building

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or Vocational Degree from an accredited institution
• Two years’ experience of a skilled trade or general building maintenance
• Any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position

Responsibilities

• Perform highly diversified craft trade activities with a focus on Water/Sewer under general supervision.
• Maintain water and sewer utilities equipment and facilities.
• Assist with pipefitting, backflow devices, lift stations and pump control circuitry as needed.
