Job summary

Apex Companies, LLC seeks a Water/Wastewater Project Engineer in Rexburg, Idaho to lead municipal design and delivery. You will work with senior engineers and project managers from planning through startup, expanding your technical and project management skills.

The role requires 5+ years in water/wastewater engineering, strong writing and client communication, and a bachelor’s degree in a related field; PE is preferred, with Idaho licensure achievable within 12 months.

Qualifications

• PE registration preferred or ability to obtain Idaho licensure within 12 months.
• 5+ years of experience in water and wastewater engineering, infrastructure design, and project delivery.
• Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes, collection and distribution systems, pump stations, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Experience supporting projects through planning, design, permitting, and construction phases.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or related Engineering discipline.

Responsibilities

• Design and support municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including treatment facilities, pump stations, pipelines, storage facilities, and related systems.
• Perform engineering calculations, hydraulic analyses, and evaluations for planning, design, and operations.
• Prepare technical memoranda, engineering reports, calculations, construction drawings, specifications, permit applications, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop practical and cost-effective engineering solutions.
• Support project management activities, including schedules, budgets, resource coordination, and deliverables.
• Work with clients, regulatory agencies, contractors, and stakeholders throughout project development and execution.
