Job summary

Apex Companies, LLC. is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Engineer in Idaho Falls to lead the design and delivery of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure.

You will work with senior staff on planning, design, and startup phases while expanding your technical and project-management skills. The role emphasizes collaboration with clients, regulatory agencies, and project teams, with opportunities for mentorship and growth within a national firm that values high-quality delivery and client

Qualifications

• PE registration preferred or Idaho licensure within 12 months.
• 5+ years in water/wastewater engineering and project delivery.
• Knowledge of treatment processes, collection systems, pump stations, and regulations.
• Experience across planning, design, permitting, and construction.
• Bachelor's in Civil/Env/Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Strong technical writing, communication, and client-relations skills.
• Experience in a consulting engineering environment preferred.
• Experience with hydraulic modeling or infrastructure master planning is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and support municipal water/wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Perform hydraulic analyses and engineering calculations.
• Prepare memos, reports, drawings, specs, permits, and cost estimates.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for practical solutions.
• Support project schedules, budgets, and resource coordination.
• Engage with clients, regulators, contractors throughout projects.
• Conduct field investigations, site visits, and system evaluations.
• Provide construction administration support including submittals and startup.
