Job summary

The City of Scottsdale seeks a Water/Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator III to join its water operations team. Candidates must hold a Grade 3 Water Treatment certification and a valid AZ driver's license, with 3 years of O&M experience in complex facilities.

The role may involve guiding junior operators and optimizing treatment processes. Starting salary may be up to the mid-point; the mid-point is $41.59/hour, with a full range stated above.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Three years of operation and maintenance experience in advanced, complex water and/or wastewater facilities.
• Must hold a Grade 3 operator certification in Water Treatment.
• Valid, unrestricted driver's license with no major citations in the past 39 months.
• Residents of Arizona during active employment.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains complex water and wastewater treatment systems and facilities.
• Provides daily leadership and direction to Operators I & II as assigned by Operator IV.
