Job summary

The City of Scottsdale is seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator III to oversee operation and maintenance of complex water and wastewater systems. Ideal candidates hold a Grade 3 Water Treatment certification, a high school diploma or GED, and at least three years of relevant O&M experience in advanced treatment facilities.

Qualifications

• Must possess and maintain a Grade 3 operator certification from the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality in Water Treatment.
• Three years of operation and maintenance experience in advanced, complex water and/or wastewater facilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain mid-to-high complexity water and wastewater treatment systems and facilities.
• Provide daily leadership and direction to Water/Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators I & II as delegated by Operator IV.
