Job summary

Harnden Group seeks a self-motivated Service Technician to lead field crews in water and wastewater equipment service across tri-state sites. You will troubleshoot, repair, install, and start up systems while maintaining safety standards and timely communication with plant operators.

Main responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing laser shaft alignment, and coordinating daily activities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on service in water/wastewater
• Comfort around wastewater environments
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective verbal and written communication

Responsibilities

• Lead field crews in repair and maintenance at pump stations and treatment facilities
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on pumps and related equipment
• Coordinate work with plant operators and mentor junior technicians
• Ensure OSHA and confined-space safety protocols; complete reports and logs
• Operate a company truck with crane; maintain DOT medical card
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergencies
